NBC proved in just 13 seconds that President Donald Trump was right

16 August 2017 Trump

NBC proved in just 13 seconds that President Donald Trump was right to say that “both sides” of the protests in Charlottesville, VA were responsible for the violence.

During their Wednesday morning reporting, NBC replayed a clip of Trump assigning some blame to the “alt-left” during his Tuesday evening presser about infrastructure and the Charlottesville riots.

Trump argued that while the white supremacists at the protests should be blamed and denounced, he believes the Antifa groups that were present also contributed to the violence.

“What about the alt-left that came charging at, as you say, the alt-right?” Trump asked a gaggle of president Tuesday evening. “Do they have any semblance of guilt?”

A voiceover from an NBC reporter confirmed that both sides were looking for violence at the “Unite the Right” rally.

“Police say both protesters and counter-protesters came to Charlottesville ready for a fight,” the reporter said.

The entire clip from Trump’s comments to NBC’s confirmation took just 13 seconds.

  • The MSM is the biggest and most powerful hate group in the USA.

There is no doubt that both sides showed up for a fight. The issue is the group on one side was marching and shouting anti-Semitic and other racist stuff the night before. They gravitated away from the real issue of the statue The next day they were there in KKK shields. That and the previous night made them the villains. I’m not for Antifa and I sympathize with not tearing down statues but the other side did not represent the original intent of the protest.

The press makes antifa out to be some noble organization. They’re organized anarchists (I know that makes no sense) who live at home with mommy.

I agree about Antifa. In a perfect world if the people who only wanted to protect the statue and not show up for a fight was attacked by Antifa, they would have been exposed. Not by everyone but by enough. As it is, I believe Tapper at CNN acknowledged their violence last Saturday.

The neo-nazis could have marched around basically unnoticed but antifa has been on the offensive. Look at the riots after the election.
If BLM has a “protest” and the “alt-right” shows up to counter-protest, guess who the “victim” will be?

          • Rijomi2

Of course. Strictly limiting this to the statue debate they need to keep the Neo Nazis and KKK away or else the perception of pro statue is that of white supremacist. Most blacks do not support BLM as most whites don’t support white supremacist so the optics of the casually involved are important. If BLM and Antifa are the only ones perpetuating violence and tearing stuff down it will eventually come back on them. The peace movement and socialism in the 60’s and 70’s was tarnished by the Weatherman and other anarchist. Hopefully, history can repeat itself.

I’m sure Antifa will do something very stupid, and soon. They’re sanctimonious pricks who think that their cause is noble.
